This two-day course is intended to take participants through the basic principles of applying IEC 62061 and IEC 61508 by introducing them to management and technical activities that are necessary for the achievement of the functional safety of safety related control functions such as those used in the protection of rotating equipment using worked examples and practical’s to provide the delegate with skill set to apply the machinery standard

Course Objectives

The objective of this course to introduce the key concepts and develop a basic understanding of how a safety related control function (SCRF) is assessed, designed, installed, commissioned, operated, managed and maintained to the required level of risk reduction.

This course assists in developing a basic understanding of the competencies required to manage the SCRF from management to technician and is a good introductory course for those wishing to progress to the third party accredited machinery functional safety engineer course.

Assessment

As this course is not accredited there is no formal assessment, however our team can write a basic competency assessment to suit your needs and provide a certificate of completion.
